Arjun Rampal, who became a father for the third time last month, made a quick trip to Africa to attend the Indian Film Festival in Kenya recently. The actor, who attended the event along with directors Raju Chadha, Umesh Shukla and Rahul Mittra, also took some time out to check out the local attractions and visited the nature reserves in Masai Mara and Mombasa.

They also attended a round-table conference with Kenyan filmmakers and important government functionaries.

Coincidentally, Arjun’s partner Gabrielle Demetriades is from Cape Town in South Africa, but it is unclear if he visited that place. The actor shared pictures and a video of his trip on his Instagram page, showing his followers the famed wildlife and culture of the region.

One photo had the actor posing with a local Masai tribe while another post was a video of a majestic lion. One picture showed Arjun along with directors Raju Chaddha, Umesh Shukla and Rahul Mitra.

Arjun must have had a hard time being away from his newborn son Arik, who he welcomed with girlfriend Gabriella on July 18 last month in Mumbai. The actor, who was previously married to Mehr Jessia, is also a father to two daughters — Mahikaa, 16 and Myra, 13.
